Virtuoso Brand Identity

This is a brand identity I created, Virtuoso. Virtuoso is an Italian restaurant featuring live theater performances. The brand identity focuses on Italian theming and refined style. The main logo mark features a glass of wine, theater mask, and a mandolin.

For this project, I set out to create my dream restaurant. A large part of my family comes from an Italian heritage, so I enjoy many Italian cuisines. I also enjoy theater productions, so this was an opportunity to combine my two interests into one restaurant, Virtuoso.

Research

After I decided on a concept, I started to sketch out as many possible variations of a logo as possible. I got feedback from my peers as to which ones to move forward with.

When I got feedback, I went on to making digital versions of the most well received logos. I also took this opportunity to experiment with typefaces and slight variations of concepts.

When I revised my concept down to one logo, I continued to experiment with typefaces that would fit the main iconography.

Final Logo

Playbill

This playbill showcases the theater production showing at the restaurant. It includes the cast, live orchestra, and brief summaries of each act. The production for this playbill is La Traviata, an Italian opera.

Menu

This menu sample was created using a daily planner. The menu has a pocket where the playbill is stored and has different food for each act of the show. Some of the food is related to the production on display. For example, alfredo is featured in the main course because there is a character in the show called Alfredo.
